What's not mentioned is that the average life span of an NFL player is 56 years, nearly 20 years less than a non-NFL player. THAT is the "true cost" of the NFL, a 25% shorter life-span.
Wouldn't this mean that finding a way to reduce injuries would increase the finesse and random chaos of the game, which would presumably be even more wildly successful? My friend always says that if we took the helmets and pads away it would reduce the number of injuries...
The players should not get millions of dollars from the state worker comp funds. The average worker will only get 60percent of their wages will on comp. The footballers still are getting millions. When you are a star you are worth millions. When you are hurt you are not worth that amount. It is not fair. Maybe their contracts should stipulate what they will receive and for how long but it should not be form the same pool of monies.

Good stuff, although this doesn't bode well for star RBs. I'm curious where the D-linemen fall on that average totals win change chart. I would think they would be fairly high.
What period is your data from? The chart of injured teams at the end only lists teams since 2018.
Correction: Nick Foles replaced Carson Wentz

Do you have a source for that?
It doesn't sound right to me.

This is the most honest factual reporting I have seen about sporting news in a long time! Thank you sir!
