I really appreciate the parallel with the made-for-TV movie (of the 70s, in particular). It seems the industry will always need that sort of construct for fading stars or young talent. Did make me wonder if the streaming movie also works for directors in this way, similar to how the early days of TV were where many famous directors cut their teeth.
