Thanks for the article! I will admit that I'm also a second-generation Star Wars fan (Dad was a fan as early as the release of Episode 4, and showed it to my sisters and me when we were kids). These days, while new content fuels my continued love of the franchise, I focus more on the fandom, whether discussing with friends what the various media things could have done better, or thinking up fanfic ideas with our original characters doing things outside of the main story.
I have never seen Star Wars (I know, serious fault!), and for this reason I found this analysis even more interesting. Even though I haven't seen it in its entirety, I have always tried to analyze the phenomenon around it a little, and above all, an important theme concerns the brand extension of this saga. On Disney+, Star Wars is not a product, it's a separate category. This mental change for the consumer and for the company means giving primary relevance and this is also demonstrated by the numerous developments and spin-offs carried out. The highlighted data further corroborates the idea. Thanks for sharing.
The BBC has a radio series called The Archers that’s been going since 1951. My wife was born during an episode in 1960, much to the annoyance of her grandmother who was attending the birth. As it’s showing no signs of coming to an end, she may even die during an episode.
I worked at Disney World from 2012 to 2017 when Star Wars Weekends were occurring and it was incredibly fun to attend. Going back after I quit because the new Land had opened and walking around Batuu was simply magical. But! I never got to the hotel and while I'm sad that's an experience I missed, it was just too expensive. There are limits and it would behoove them to take a break as they are currently with movies but also with the tv series. My life no longer includes time to stream a ton of content so I haven't even watched The Acolyte yet but wow was Andor great.

Disney and Mark Hamill are trying to kill the franchise…
Have you ever heard of the fortune of Darth Daniel the Wise? I thought not, it’s not a story the media would tell you. It is a Substack Legend…
I have no idea what you're talking about lol
Where is your prequel knowledge?!😂😅
